As most people tend to agree that “Seeing is Believing” my answer is that it is not always true! Its strange that the Bible tend to say, ‘Believe and you will see’! Wow! thats revolutionary to the general thinking of the world! I believe Faith, falls into this category and especially Faith in God!
Here is a simple test that illustrates the fallacy of the statement ‘Seeing is Believing’. Below is a short clip that I had taken and its a figure of a pink dot going round and round. This is true if your eyes follow the moving pink dot. If you keep your focus on the center ‘cross’ you will noticed that the pink dot turns green! If you stare at the center for a longer time, the pink dots slowly disappear, leaving only one green dot going round and round.
It’s amazing how our brain works. There really is no green dot, and the pink ones really don’t disappear. This should be proof enough, we don’t always see what we think we see.
This illustration reminds me of our views in so many issues in life. It depends on our focus and when we stay stubborn and keep looking at an issue in one way, how it lies to us? I guess we must view things, issues in a broader sense and slowly we begin to see other views and make us more understanding people and keep us away from being a bigot. Perhaps it is worthwhile to ponder on such things over the week-end! Cheers!

Seeing is believing? Not true as your have illustrated the fallacy of this statment. We only marvelled/wondered when the magician made a beautiful lady disappeared and then reappeared. We know it’s a trick or an illustion. David Copperfield walked through the Great Wall of China. It looked very real, but you and I know that it’s not posssible.

This is a great site I like it and I want you to know its true you have to have faith for ther are alot of things we cannot see but we believein such as God. I enjoyed your article.
